- I'm the author of the Frank Coffin mystery series, HIGH SEASON (2007) and MATING SEASON (2009) from St. Martin's/Minotaur. The third book in the series, FIRE SEASON, should be ready for publication late next year. I've also published two books of poems (VANITAS MOTEL and THE PLEASURE PRINCIPLE, both from Oberlin College Press). I'm currently at work on a memoir (KING OF HEARTS), and a new book of poems (WHISKEY AND DYNAMITE). When I'm not writing I'm a college professor, a completely talentless blues guitar player, a guitar gear junkie, and a husband and father in progress.

Dear thoroughly incompetent blues guitar player,
Sorry to hear of your current state of exhaustion brought on by the academic lifestyle. If you (or your brother) happen to be in Atown around Christmas time I plan to be holed up in the basement on Forest with my son Michael, who is an HTC student in the TCOM department. We will be playing with guitars, banjos, keyboards, digital recorders etc., so stop by if you get a chance. The house has become a great little creative getaway.
